The Story Of Cinderella

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mother and two step sisters.
The step mother and sisters were conceited and bad tempered. They treated Cinderella very badly. Her step mother made Cinderella do the hardest works in the house; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot and pan and preparing the food for the family. The two step sisters, on the other hand, did not work about the house. Their mother gave them many handsome dresses to wear.
One day, the two step sister received an invitation to the ball that the king’s son was going to give at the palace. They were excited about this and spent so much time choosing the dresses they would wear. At last, the day of the ball came, and away went the sisters to it. Cinderella could not help crying after they had left.
“Why are crying, Cinderella?” a voice asked. She looked up and saw her fairy godmother standing beside her, “because I want so much to go to the ball” said Cinderella. “Well” said the godmother,”you’ve been such a cheerful, hardworking, uncomplaining girl that I am going to see that you do go to the ball”.
Magically, the fairy godmother changed a pumpkin into a fine coach and mice into a coachman and two footmen. Her godmother tapped Cinderella’s raged dress with her wand, and it became a beautiful ball gown. Then she gave her a pair of pretty glass slippers. “Now, Cinderella”, she said; “You must leave before midnight”. Then away she drove in her beautiful coach.
Cinderella was having a wonderfully good time. She danced again and again with the king’s son. Suddenly the clock began to strike twelve, she ran toward the door as quickly as she could. In her hurry, one of her glass slipper was left behind.
A few days later, the king’ son proclaimed that he would marry the girl whose feet fitted the glass slipper. Her step sisters tried on the slipper but it was too small for them, no matter how hard they squeezed their toes into it. In the end, the king’s page let Cinderella try on the slipper. She stuck out her foot and the page slipped the slipper on. It fitted perfectly.
Finally, she was driven to the palace. The king’s son was overjoyed to see her again. They were married and live happily ever

The Biography of Samuel Eto'o

Samuel Eto'o was born on March 10, 1981 in Douala, Cameroon is a professional footballer, who currently plays in the Seri-A for Inter Milan . He is a distinguished forward who is known for his outstanding positional awareness and tackling. His talents have made him a leading scorer for both club and country and one of the world's top strikers. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 2003, 2004, and 2005, making him the first player to win the award three years in succession since it has been handed out by the Confederation of African Football. He was recently named as one of the strikers for the FIFPro World XI team for the second consecutive year.

Club career
During his time with RCD Mallorca, he became the highest ever league goal scorer in the history of the club, with 54 goals. He signed for FC Barcelona in the summer of 2004 for a transfer fee of 24 million after a long series of three-way negotiations with Mallorca and Real Madrid. Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez said that Eto'o was not needed as they already had Ronaldo and Raúl signed as strikers. Eto'o made his debut for Barcelona in the first game of the season at Rà cing Santander, on August 29, 2004. And now he played with Inter Milan in Seri- A

2005-06 Pichichi
After missing out on last year's "Pichichi" Eto'o made amends for it when on May 20, 2006, Samuel Eto'o assured himself the title of "pichichi" (top scorer of La Liga) after scoring a goal against Athletic de Bilbao in FC Barcelona's last game of the 2005-06 season. Had he not scored in this game, he would still have been La Liga's top scorer for the season but would have had to share the title with Valencia CF's prolific striker, David Villa.

Recent
During Barcelona's Champions League match against Werder Bremen on September 27, 2006, he ruptured the meniscus in his right knee. Ricard Pruna, Barcelona's doctor, originally estimated that the injury would keep him out of action for two to three months. However, after an operation to treat the damaged meniscus, Barcelona doctors upped the estimated recovery time to five months.

Eto’o’s 5 months absence is a major blow for FC Barcelona as he is one of their most influential players. Though he will miss more than 20 matches, Joan Laporta still believes he can retain his title of "Pichichi". Eto’o himself says that he will be playing again before the five month period. Less than one month after his operation, Eto'o has been spotted in ValenciaGP, during the MotoGP, walking without crutches. Eto'o is surprising everyone with his fast progress, even after being asked not to watch Barca playing on TV. On January 16th, 2007 Eto'o went back to training with Barcelona and said he will start playing with the team when he is 100% fit.

On February 11, 2007, in a match with Racing Santander, Eto'o refused to come on as a substitute; manager Frank Rijkaard said 'He did not want to come on, I don't know why'. Ronaldinho was critical of Eto'o, saying 'it always is important to think about what's best for the team'. Eto'o responded by saying 'Telling a news conference I didn't want to play is the behaviour of a bad person', explaining that he did not come on because he did not have time to warm up properly. Eto'o and Ronaldinho have since reconciled. Later, Eto'o denied calling them 'bad people'. Despite this, Eto'o has been linked with many clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

On February 25, 2007, Eto'o scored the third goal in the 3-0 win against Athletic Bilbao; this was his first start since recovering.

International career
Eto'o made his Cameroon debut at the age of just 15 in a friendly match against Costa Rica in a 5-0 loss, and at the age of 17, Eto'o was the youngest player at the 1998 FIFA World Cup when he appeared for Cameroon against Italy, at the age of 17 years and 3 months, being the only player who had been born in the '80s.

He also played at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
To date, Eto'o has won three major tournaments with his country: the 2000 and 2002 African Nations Cups, as well as the gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

In 2006, Eto'o missed his penalty shot in the quarter-final of the 2006 African Cup of Nations game against Côte d'Ivoire, ending a record run of 24 consecutive penalties made, and eliminating his side from the competition. Nontheless, he was still the top scorer of the tournament, with five goals.

Maling Kundang

A long time ago, there lived widow with her only son. They lived in a hut in a vilage near the sea. They were very poor.Malin Kundang, the son's name, thought, "if I stay here, I won't have a better life. I have to leave this vilage and look for a job."
His mother was sad to hear it. But she knew that Malin Kundang was right. So she let him go.After her son had left, Malin Kundang's mother went to the beach every day. She hoped her son would return soon. At night she would pray for her son's safety. She would ask the captain of the ship whether he saw her son or not. But she got no news about Malin Kundang.
After years, when she was very old, a captain of a ship told her, "Malin Kundang? I met him some month ago. He is now married to a beautiful girl. She is the daughter of a wealthy man."Malin Kundang's mother was very happy to hear it. "Thank you, God!" she prayed. She was sure that Malin Kundang would return home one day.
One morning, a big beautiful ship docked. A young couple stood at the dock. They wore beautiful clothes. Malin Kundang's mother cried joyfully. "Malin Kundang! My son! You are home!" she hugged the young man.Malin Kundang did not believe her. He thought,"This can't be my mother! She was a strong woman when I left."
But his wife said angrily,"Why didn't you tell me that your mother is poor and old?" Then she spitted on the old woman. The old woman cried. She could not believe what she heard."Malin, I am your mother." But Malin Kundang did not listen. He was embarrassed to have an old mother. So he kicked the old woman yelled at her, "Go away, ugly woman. My mother does not look like you at all."
The woman fell on the ground. She cried. Then she prayed,"My dear God, if he really is my son, punish him."Suddenly, there was a thunderstorm. Big waves hit the shore with a loud noise. They hit everything from big ships to coconut trees along the shore. The thunderstorm was a fierce one.
The storm died in the morning. But the villagers could see what the storm had done. Not far from the shore, there were rocks that looked like wreckage and the passenger of a ship. People believed that it was Malin Kundang's ship, and Malin Kundang changed into a coral reef. God had punished him.

Keris

Keris have two things. First, what is it and second, it's mystical power.

The Keris is a weapon used by Javanese. The story of the keris starts aroun the 14th century and the 19th century. The earliest reprensentation of the keris can be found in relief on the Penataran Temple in East Java and the Sukuh Temple in Central Java. At the beginning, the keris was used only as a weapon but later on it was used as a status symbol. In ancient times, a man was considered to have reavhed maturity once he owned a keris. In the past, owning keris was not unusual. Almost everybody had one. Usually, each keris made especially for the owner. Sometimes it reprensented the character of the owner. The pustaka is usually passed on from one generation to another.

Many of these heirlooms go back several generations. Since historic times in Javanese culture, the keris is believed to have mystical power. These powers are often called the spirit of the keris and cannot seen by ordinary people. Indinesians sometimes regard the spirit as a genie, which protects or provides its owner with special powers such as extraordinary intellectual skills or special attraction to the opposite sex. The owner of the keris has to take good care of it. There's even a ritual to clean the keris every Thursday night, or at least in the first month of the Javanese year. Why does he have to take care of the keris ? It is believed that if the owner doesnt take care of it, the power possessed by the keris will gradually dissappear.

To conclude, the keris is an nheirloon, which, in Java is believed to have unique mystical powers of its own. These powers do not necessarilly go againts our religion.
